Peace Culture

Programs

Peace Culture is a peace education program that teaches youth about peace with self, peace with others, and peace with the community. Peace Culture brings the arts and peace education to the classroom by allowing students the opportunity to create poems about peace, illustrate and meditate on safe spaces, sculpt human brains and traditional foods out of clay, and create art projects to celebrate their community, identity, and the positive attributes they bring to a team.

Peace Culture also offers unique programming such as allowing students to hold human cadaver brains and planting cultural gardens. By the end of our eight to fifteen-week program, students lead a community service project and leave as empowered agents of peace with the tools to fight for justice and revolutionary change within their communities.
