Founded by poet and writer DéLana R.A. Dameron, Black Art Futures Fund (BAFF) is a granting project of Red Olive Culture Commons that provides general operating support for small, Black-led arts and culture nonprofits or fiscally sponsored projects that serve a majority Black audience.

Recipients receive organizational support from Red Olive’s Direct Client Services and Olive’s Classroom, in addition to financial support from the individual and small business donors who support the grant pool. BAFF grants are distributed through quarterly cycles, including the Shay Wafer Legacy Awards, which honors Black cultural organizations founded in or before 2011.
