About

Our mission is to provide effective, accessible peace education programming to empower youth and celebrate communities. We envision co-creating a viable vision of peace, one community at a time and to carry on our important work of uplifting youth, families, mentors, educators, and communities.

Peace Culture is an internationally and locally collaborative initiative initially conceived and developed by the Wayne State University Center for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS) and the Colombian peace education nonprofit Somos CaPAZes. In the 2019-2020 school year Peace Culture has plans to connect with youth once again in Hamtramck, Southwest Detroit, and Romulus, MI. Our goal is to have a global impact and connect local communities with our partners Somos CaPAZes in Bogota, Colombia.
