Charlotte Mayeda

Char Mayeda (She/Her) is a community organizer and scholar from Oxnard, CA. As a Network Liaison, she works diligently on project needs and is passionate about problem solving. With a background in research and legal assistance, she cares about fostering sustainable communities that have access to knowledge and resources that support a thriving environment. 

Prior to AMP, Charlotte received her M.A. in Black Studies at UCLA and has worked in the nonprofit sector supporting technological literacy, housing justice, and Know Your Rights work. 

Passionate about reading, biking, and building community, she can be found curled up with a good book, biking through different neighborhoods in Detroit, or pouring love into her Buddhist community. A born traveler, she has claimed her chosen home to be Detroit, MI.
