Scheherazade Washington Parrish

Scheherazade (she/her) collaboratively develops and implements training opportunities and related resources that support our sponsored projects at every phase of their development, centering the needs of our Detroit-based projects through the “Detroit Incubator” program. She is passionate about self care and wellness, and brings over 15 years experience in leadership, facilitation and project management to host a dynamic roster of projects. Prior to joining the AMP network in 2018, she worked as an educator in Detroit public and charter schools.  A writer, artist, facilitator and co-director of Detroit Lit, Scheherazade  lives  and creates in Detroit, is the proud mama of a rising actor and way more fun than this bio; a “ray of fu**ing sunshine”, if you will.
