Bringing the Past to the Present and Future Zine

Black Bottom Archives (BBA) is a community-driven media platform dedicated to centering and amplifying the voices, experiences, and perspectives of Black Detroiters through digital storytelling, journalism, art, and community organizing with a focus on preserving local Black history and archiving our present. The Bringing the Past to the Present and Future zine documents the learning journey of the Black Bottom Archives project from October 2019 until March 2020. During this time, BBA hosted a series of Community Feedback Sessions’ where community members gave valuable insight on BBA’s digital archive project.
