Detroitography Maps Archive

The DETROITography Maps Archive features great maps of Detroit. The project focuses on democratizing map making and refocusing data for people-centered innovation. Some examples of maps you might find are: Chain Supermarkets in Metro Detroit 2020, Detroit Protests 2020, Detroit’s Pizza Place Geography, Metro Detroit COVID-19 Case Prevalence by ZIP Code, and Heidelberg Project Artifacts around Detroit. DETROITography is a collaborative platform that brings data and maps back to focusing on people, stories, and experiences that offers insights into historical events that have shaped Detroit’s geography (and in many ways its current troubles and inequalities). DETROITography also produces maps for community organizations and nonprofits, consults on data and mapping projects, and offers mapping workshops.
