Dream Lunch Film

People in Education (PIE) is a media arts organization that facilitates space for connection, curiosity and reflection. Media artists-in-residence are brought into learning spaces to facilitate student-led investigations and their research culminates into collaborative media projects. Dream Lunch is a stop-motion film created by middle school students from Alternatives for Girls (AFG), showcasing youth’s desire to “foster a more interactive, communal lunch experience.” With help from coordinator Christiana Castillo and guidance from PIE’s teaching artist Cyrah Dardas, Dream Lunch reimagines what school lunches could look like when they incorporate interactive experiences with their communities.
